Pre and Post natal massage
Massage during and after pregnancy has many benefits. It can help you to relax, relieves muscle aches and help with symptoms such as indigestion.
Massage helps the body to release natural endorphins into the blood stream, which act as pain killers. Massage during labour can help mums to relax and remain in control.
Pregnancy full body massage lasting 1 hour £25
Pregnancy part body massage lasting 30 minutes £18
It is a requirement of our insurance, that mums to be have the written permission of a midwife or other health professional before the massage can take place. Please click to download the form which must be completed and brought to the appointment. Massage cannot be carried out in the first twelve weeks of pregnancy.
Baby Massage.
Massage has many benefits for both parents and baby.
Baby massage -
- Is calming and nurturing, and helps strengthen bonding.
- Helps with respiratory and digestive problems, such as colic. It can also provide pain relief for these symptoms.
- Promotes good sleeping routines.
- Helps to develop systems of the body and can also help to develop baby's visual and listening skills.
- Has been proven to help mums suffering with Post natal Depression.
Baby massage time is special time.
Individual tuition
Individual baby massage sessions are available in Urchfont, near Devizes. Lasting 1 hour each, you and/or your partner will be shown a routine that you can practise at home. You will be given a guide book to help you and a 50ml bottle of baby massage oil. Baby massage is suitable for babies aged from 6 weeks to crawling.
1 hour baby massage session £20 ( one session may be enough, but you may like two)
If you would like to receive tuition in your own home, then please contact me. The price of individual sessions will be £20 per hour, plus travel expenses.
Gift vouchers are available. Ideal new born present!
Group tuition
Jo is also available to visit groups across Wiltshire to give instruction. Why not get together with a group of mums in your home? Or maybe at your parent/toddler group?
Price for one hour - £20 - £30 group rate (depending on location), plus £2.00 per family,(for oil and guide book) Therefore 5 mums and babies in Devizes the total price will be £30 or £6 per mum.
Subsequent sessions will be charged at the group rate only.
